Here are some tips on what to bring when going on a field trip. You don’t want a stressful trip right? So you may consider the following:

1. Waiver
A waiver releases the school or university, its representatives and/or employees from liability for any injury to student/s while attending the following activity, including travel to and from said activity. Every college or University should see to it that students have submitted waivers before going on a field trip.

2. Medical Forms
Sometimes, field trips do encounter some health related emergencies too. During such cases, medical information reflected on students medical forms will be able to inform teachers or medical practitioners about important information (background, allergies, pre-existing conditions) about the student, specially if the student is unconscious.

3. First Aid Kit
It is likewise important that each student has first aid kit. The kit should contain medications that they need like paracetamol, ibuprofen and loperamide just in case they would need it. You may also include alcohol for sanitation and insect repellant lotion for mosquitoes and other insects.

4. Extra Clothes, Cash, and Snacks
It is always better to be prepared than sorry so you might as well bring this during your field trip. Clothes just in case there would be a need for you to change, cash, so you can buy what you need and other pasalubongs, and snacks to keep your energy high all trough out the trip.

5. Pen and Paper
Of course, field trips are not created solely for fun. And so, jot down pertinent infos with your pen and paper.

6. For faculty members in charge:
A “Hot File” — a plastic, sealable file or large manila envelope to transport the following important documents:

Emergency contact information for your school and school system
List of students who must take medication during the trip

Checklist of all students
Extra cash for emergency situations
Contact information of site contact(s), i.e., name, phone number, role, and office location on site.
Trip itinerary
Waiver

In recent decades, field trips have lost educational purpose and a large number of students even college students are being brought instead to shopping malls, amusement centers and parks or to television stations to attend noontime game shows.

Some students nowadays define field trip as an out of school recreational activity. Students look forward to the fun part of field trips rather than the bits and pieces of knowledge that they would get from the supposedly “educational” tour.

We in Veniz Tours believe that we must use every educational tool to raise the academic levels of our students. Field trips occur during official school time and should therefore be employed as an important learning component. Given some current national failure in our educational system, we cannot afford to make field trips be used solely for entertainment and for enjoyment.

On the other hand, students who are paying hundreds and thousands of money for educational trips deserve to learn and gain novel ideas related to their field of specialization during the field trip. Educational tour is not just a mere escape to a threatening classroom atmosphere but instead a gateway to learning.

With all these, Veniz tours customizes special field trip packages for Engineering, Tourism and Communication students. Field trips that are considered to be reasonable, educational and fun-filled at the same time.

Laguna is one of the most-visited provinces in the Southern Luzon region. Part of the CALABARZON area, Laguna also belongs to the list of the provinces known for different tourist destinations. And here’s a list of the frequently visited tourist spots in Laguna:

1. Lake Caliraya (Lumban) – a man-made lake by US Army Engineer Major General Hugh J. Casey, created in 1937. Lake Caliraya’s attraction is not only the calming beauty of the lake but also the facilities and activities visitors can enjoy on their stay. It’s a good venue for vacation and team-building activities.

2. Mabitac Church (Gen. Luna St., Mabitac) – you will have to take 126 steps going up to the church. Yes, you have to make that little sacrifice but it’s all worth it if you would think of the blessings you might receive after your church visit.

3. Pagsanjan Falls and Rapids (Pagsanjan) – One of the most famous spots in Laguna, Pagsanjan Falls offer tourists a natural splendour that would make them keep coming back. This is a recommended destination for adventurers and nature trippers.

4. Rizal Shrine (Calamba) – Opened to the public by President Elpidio Quirino in 1950, the memories of our national hero, Jose Rizal, was preserved in the exhibit of Rizal’s childhood. This is one of the regular itineraries for educational trips in the province.

5. Seven Lakes (San Pablo) – One of the country’s oldest cities, San Pablo is also known as the City of Seven Lakes, apparently because of the seven lakes situated in the city’s vicinity: Sampalok, Palakpakin, Yambo, Bunot, Pandin, Muhikap, and Calibato.

6. St. Gregory Church (Majayjay) – Built in 1575 through forced labor, this church is one of the oldest churches in the country. Antique religious statues brought by the Spaniards were preserved and are still on display inside the church.

Laguna is just a part of the richness of the Island Philippines. And by itself, Laguna still has a lot to offer. So pack your travel bag now and discover the beauty and the best of Laguna!

Tours in Baguio are made memorable if you have an excellent list of itineraries. Baguio is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Philippines. It being the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio is loved by many both for its cold weather and the warm welcome the locals extend to their visitors.

Veniz Tours’ tourism package includes the most visited places in Baguio. First stop, the Burnham Park located at the heart of Baguio City. Burnham Park is subdivided into 12 different attractions: the man-made lake, the Rose Garden, the Orchidarium, the Igorot Garden, Melvin Jones Grandstand, children’s playground, skating rink, the Athletic Bowl, a picnic grove, the Sunshine Park, the Japanese Peace Tower, and the Pine Trees of the World.

Next stop is the Baguio Botanical Garden where seedlings of pine trees and other botanical forms are grown. Baguio Botanical Garden is otherwise known as the Igorot Village. Tourists can have their pictures taken together with the Igorot tribesmen.

Tourists can then proceed to The Mansion, the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. Often, tourists take pictures at The Mansion’s gate or visit the museum inside where memorabilia of Philippine presidents are on display.

A Baguio trip won’t be complete without going to Mines View Park where a spectacular panorama awaits the visitors. The stunning creation around is overwhelming and for tourist’s to get a closer look of the vicinity, they can rent binoculars for about ten bucks. It’s advisable to come early because the usual afternoon fog might hamper the sightseeing. Baguio souvenir items and other local products are available near the view deck. At a short distance is the Good Shepherd Convent known for delicious jams and Baguio delicacies.

For blessings and guidance for a safe travel, visitors do a little sacrifice in Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto where they are required to climb 252 steps to reach the cavern atop a steep hill.

Similar to Cebu’s Taoist Temple, The Baguio Bell Tower provides serenity for spiritual reflection of the visitors. It has a very oriental setting with its two well-designed dragon formations, a wishing pond, bells, and colourful eye-catching pagodas, and the Taoist gods in the main altar.

If a delightful dessert ends a sumptuous meal, the sweetest way to conclude a Baguio trip is through strawberry picking! The Strawberry Farm is at the nearby town of La Trinidad, Benguet which is 30 minutes away from Baguio. This is a fun activity for everyone but you have to pay double the price of the strawberries in the market.
