Classroom learning isn’t enough. Of course, students need to see the main stream and practice an out-of-the-campus learning experience known as field trips or educational tours. A number of companies and industries in Luzon are open to provide hands-on experiences and to share basic knowledge to would-be professionals. For Engineering, IT and Communication students of various colleges and Universities, educational trips at ABS-CBN, GMA7 studios, Subic sea and air ports, Baguio’s hi-tech electric cooperative (BENECO) and other industries in Batangas, Laguna, Pampangga, Tarlac and Zambales are certainly among the first-rate educational itineraries that these studes could visit and learn from.
On the other hand, students must not view field trip as an activity for recreation and amusement but instead an informative and relevant activity that would give students a glimpse of their real world.
